Meet Deb
There was a time when I felt like I was unravelling. Shortly after my youngest daughter was born, the weight of the previous 10 years, which were filled with infertility, child loss, and the quiet ache of grief, reshaped everything I thought I knew about who I was. I was broken. I also manage a chronic disease - Type 1 Diabetes - a constant reminder of vulnerability and resilience.
Healing didn’t come in a straight line, but arrived slowly, through creativity, reflection, and deep inner work. As I began to rebuild myself, something unexpected happened: women started sharing their stories of overwhelm and burnout with me. Not because I had answers, but because I understood where they had been.
Before counselling, I worked in schools supporting neurodivergent children, especially those with Autism and ADHD. I loved it. When I began my counselling placement, I noticed a pattern - my clients were primarily women, and most of these women had recently been diagnosed with, or were pursuing diagnosis of, ADHD. Their experiences - of feeling misunderstood, scattered, and exhausted by systems that weren’t built for them - resonated deeply with me. While I don’t have an ADHD diagnosis myself, my own neurodivergent traits and symptoms of trauma gave me a window into their world.
Once qualified, I continued meeting women whose stories mirrored those same patterns - late diagnoses, lifelong masking, and a yearning to finally understand themselves. I didn’t go into counselling intending to be on this path, but the path found me!
I realised that my long-standing fascination with systems of organisation, productivity, and decluttering wasn’t just a quirky interest - it was a toolkit. One that could help women with ADHD build lives that feel calmer, clearer, and more aligned.
With a background in creative arts and a Masters in Counselling, I now support neurodivergent women - especially those with ADHD - to move from survival mode to self-compassion, clarity, and emotional wellbeing. My approach is integrative and practical, rooted in warmth, creativity, and collaboration.
I believe healing isn’t about fixing - it’s about reconnecting. And I’m here to walk alongside you as you do just that. I look forward to meeting you.
